Get closer to our local supporters. Harness the passion in your area and make a bigger difference nearer home. We're boosting the success of our community fundraising initiative by recruiting more Fundraisers in more ares. Which means you can generate even better results and make a bigger contribution.

The roles: It's easy to shop in an Oxfam store or make a regular donation. But community fundraising takes real commitment from engaged and involved supporters. Our determination to do it well is paying off - and making fundraising second nature for thousands. That's why we're strengthening our community fundraising teams across the country still further - recruiting more inspirational people to motivate as many in the local community as possible.

Join us as a Community Fundraiser and you'll work closely with local offices and shops while growing our regional presence and establishing strong group and volunteer fundraising networks.

Wherever you make an impact, you'll be dealing with a wide variety of existing, new and Oxfam-specific groups - from private individuals and corporates to local schools and social clubs - giving them plenty of support, encouragement and leadership. And as well as coming up with great fundraising ideas, you'll help make them happen and generally get involved at every level.

What we're looking for: Driven and proactive with strong forward-planning skills, you'll have an impressive record in community fundraising or engagement. In fact, as long as you're used to achieving results and can show solid influencing and interpersonal abilities, you could be from almost any walk of life. But whatever your background, you'll be no stranger to prioritising your workload, managing budgets and hitting income targets. It's important too that you work as effectively in a team as you do on your own. And the more you know about development issues and the work we do, the better.

About Oxfam: A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There's enough wealth in this world to go around. It's not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It's unjustifiable. It's not just their problem. It's ours too. And with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. Thousands of people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we're looking for yours.
